Help us reach our goal with a donation today!

A little more than two weeks remain in our year-end fundraising drive, a campaign that asks readers and listeners of the National Parks Traveler to help underwrite the news organization's ongoing coverage of national parks and the National Park Service.

We're not quite halfway to our goal of raising at least $75,000, a sum that ensures ongoing coverage of how the Trump administration is impacting the National Park System and the National Park Service. But the Traveler covers more than just politics and their impact on the parks.

Our writers and editors keep you informed on endangered and threatened species in the parks, about legislation introduced into Congress that could benefit parks ... or not. We bring you stories about pollution impacting the park system, about abandoned oil wells in the parks, and about efforts to help wildlife.

The Traveler covers science in the parks, such as our recent story about shrinking Mount Rainier, and brings you suggestions on how to spend a day in a park, if that's all the time you have. And, of course, there are photography columns by Rebecca Latson and podcasts that are ranked among the top 100 in the world, according to FeedSpot.

Our aim is not to simply continue the coverage you've come to expect, but to further broaden and expand it. But we need your help to do so. More than 4 million readers and listeners have absorbed our content this year, but only a tiny, tiny fraction have been moved to support it. If our work has informed or inspired you, we hope you’ll make a tax-deductible gift.
