Groups Working To Keep Grand Canyon Food Pantry Open

National Park Service staff and Grand Canyon residents who are struggling to get by will continue to be able to count on the Grand Canyon Food Pantry thanks to the combined efforts of the Grand Canyon Conservancy (GRC) and the Flagstaff Family Food Center (FFFC).

Grand Canyon Announces Increased Water and Fire Restrictions During Infrastructure Work

Due to limited water availability and construction activities associated with the ongoing Transcanyon Waterline Replacement Project, Grand Canyon National Park will implement Stage 3 Water Restrictions and Stage 2 Fire Restrictions on its South Rim beginning October 31.

More Water Conservation Measures Plus Stage 2 Fire Restrictions At Grand Canyon

First, it was a Transcanyon water line break north of Phantom Ranch that caused Grand Canyon National Park to implement water measures on the South Rim. Now, it’s a pump failure at Havasupai Gardens adding to the park’s water woes and forcing additional water restrictions. Until repairs are completed and storage tanks are replenished, the park will remain in conservation mode.
