The Jefferson National Parks Association has announced that more nonprofit support will go toward opening the Gateway Arch and the Old Courthouse on select days throughout November as the government shutdown continues.

JNPA had already stepped in to help fund Gateway Arch National Park alongside other nonprofit donors for two weeks in October to allow celebrations for the Arch’s 60th anniversary to take place. Funding ended on November 2 when the park closed once again.

Thanks to the new round of nonprofit funding, the park will be open Fridays through Sundays starting November 7 and extending through November 23. The park will also be open on November 26, 28 and 29.

“We look forward to the federal government restoring normal operations to all national parks as soon as possible,” David Grove, president and CEO of JNPA, said in a press release, according to KSDK in St. Louis. “Until then, we are pleased to see the Gateway Arch and Old Courthouse open through Thanksgiving week, an important season that draws many visitors, supports area businesses and provides jobs for employees who make every visit memorable.”
