Gateway Arch National Park is set to reopen on tomorrow thanks to donations from a community partnership led by the Jefferson National Parks Association. The financial support will allow the park to remain open through November 2.

The park has been closed since the government shutdown began on October 1. The reopening will come just a week ahead of the Gateway Arch’s 60th anniversary celebrations, planned for October 25-26 and October 28.

Financial support came from Explore St. Louis, Gateway Arch Park Foundation, The Arch Café and the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis.

“This effort demonstrates the best of what partnership can achieve,” said David Grove, president and CEO of JNPA. “Keeping the Arch open as we celebrate its 60th anniversary reflects what St. Louis can accomplish together when we step up to support something that matters to everyone.”

During the reopening, visitors will be able to access the Museum at the Gateway Arch, Tram Ride to the Top, the documentary film and the Cobblestones and Courage VR experience.

“The reopening of the Gateway Arch National Park during this milestone anniversary reflects the strength of our community and the pride we take in sharing our city’s most iconic landmark with the world,” said Brad Dean, president and CEO of Explore St. Louis.
