Park officials early Thursday said the body of John Pennington, 40, of Walton, Kentucky, and the motorcycle were spotted Wednesday below the South Kaibab Trailhead.
The body, which was located approximately 465 feet below the rim, was flown to the rim by helicopter and transferred to the Coconino County Medical Examiner's Office. Officials hoped the motorcycle could be removed Thursday, but bad weather was delaying that effort.
Pennington was believed to have entered Grand Canyon on or around February 23 and abandoned his personal vehicle near Yaki Point. An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the National Park Service and the Coconino County Medical Examiner's Office.

Was just at the South Kaibab Trailhead last weekend. To get 450'+ down they would have to have done an Evil Knievel off the rim, I would expect.
