Steamtown National Historic Site in Pennsylvania will transition to its summer schedule and increase in-park operations and experiences on Saturday, May 3.

Legislation introduced into the U.S. Senate aims to extend billions of dollars in federal funds to help the National Park Service and other land-management agencies tackle deferred maintenance on their lands.

Nearly 50 acres have been added to Saguaro National Park in Arizona through the Trust for Public Land, which has helped protect more than 2,300 acres in and around the park since 1993.

Ranger III, the ferry the National Park Service operates to get visitors and supplies to Isle Royale National Park in Lake Superior, is scheduled to make runs this week to the national park to haul supplies for the summer season.
