A 4-year-old female black bear in Glacier National Park had to be euthanized, and another bear and her cub could face a similar fate, due to exposure to human food.
National Parks have until Friday to post signs asking visitors to report any information they see in the parks that depicts the nation or its history in a negative way, according to published reports.
Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky is home to a wide variety of wildlife, both above and below ground. Most commonly-seen above ground are squirrels, and deer. Rarer sights include coyotes, black bears, and bats. Below ground live some 160 species ranging from cave crickets to pale, eyeless fish, to translucent crayfish, to salamanders.
