Unusually Warm Sea Waters Blamed For Seabird Deaths

Late last year, thousands of seabirds were reported to have mysteriously died in the northern Bering and Chukchi seas, including near Bering Land Bridge National Preserve. Now scientists believe the culprit in their demise was warming seas.

Grant Will Help Recover Yellow-Legged Frogs In Sequoia, Kings Canyon National Parks

Sequoia Parks Conservancy, the official nonprofit partner to Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks, has received a $250,000 grant from The Dorrance Family Foundation for use in helping with recovery of endangered mountain yellow-legged frogs in the two parks.
