Tickets for the 2026 Crystal Cave season will go on sale March 16, 2026, at 9 a.m. Guided tours will operate from May 22 through November 1, 2026, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore the only cave open to the public in Sequoia National Park.

Crystal Cave is a marble cavern carved by water over millions of years and contains delicate crystal draperies and towering stalagmites. The cave is the second-largest of the more than 275 known caves in Sequoia and Kings Canyon and the fourth-largest in California, and it includes more than three miles of surveyed passageways. It has been open to the public since the 1940s.

The 50-minute guided tours are provided by Sequoia Parks Conservancy, the official nonprofit partner of Sequoia and Kings Canyon. Revenue from tour tickets directly supports the Conservancy’s ongoing efforts to fund education, restoration, and visitor experience projects throughout the parks.

“Crystal Cave offers a rare opportunity to step into a hidden world beneath the giant trees,” said Savannah Boiano, president and CEO of Sequoia Parks Conservancy. “Through our guided tours and expert interpretation, visitors gain a deeper understanding of the complex geology, vital water systems, and delicate formations that make this underground landscape so remarkable and worth protecting.”

Guided tours will operate from May 22 through November 1, 2026, marking the second full season visitors can return to Crystal Cave since the four-year closure due to wildfire impacts and winter storm damage in the park. The 2025 season sold out, so visitors are encouraged to reserve early.

Tickets can be purchased online at sequoiaparksconservancy.org/crystal-cave. Tickets will not be available for purchase at Crystal Cave.
