The Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC) and FarOut — the top navigational app for long-distance trails — announced a partnership that will enhance the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) mapping resources available on the FarOut app and ATC member benefits.
As the only non-profit devoted to protecting, managing and advocating for the entirety of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail and its landscape, the ATC has been a trusted source of information on the nearly 2,200-mile, world-renowned treadway, trail features and hiking conditions over the last century. The ATC guidebooks, maps and digital resources provide detailed, mile-by-mile data to help A.T. hikers plan their adventures.
Thanks to this new partnership, all hikers, whether long-distance or day-hiker, using the A.T. trail guides via the FarOut app will now have access to the same expert and up-to-date information on the Trail from the ATC.
