It's going to cost you a little bit more to enter Everglades National Park if you don't have an annual park pass to cover entrance fees.
On October 1 the cost to drive into the park inched up to $25 from $20 for seven days. If you're riding a motorcycle, the fee is now $20, up from $15.
These increased entrance fees for visitors will fund important maintenance and improvement projects within the park. Until last year, Everglades and Dry Tortugas National Park had not increased park-wide fees since 1997.
Entrance fees go to support a wide range of projects that improve the park and visitor experiences, including trailhead signs, developing and installing exhibits in visitor centers, improving park water systems, providing ranger-led programs, and improving accessibility. An example is the new Shark Valley Visitor Center, which was partially funded with fees.
All other park fees remain the same.

Support the fee increase. Beautiful park that like all of them need these funds for restoration.
