These days Rick is a retired healthcare provider, married to a career NPS employee. He supports much of the NPS mission and efforts. He has been an outdoor lover, a camper and hiker, much of his life, although health concerns have drastically impacted what he is able to do over the past few years. Just returning from five years in Alaska, he is now settling back into the North Cascades area, near the Puget Sound town of his birth.
