In Flamingo, 38 miles south of the Homestead entrance, visitors can stay overnight at the newly opened Flamingo Lodge offers 24 rooms looking out on Florida Bay. Pricing is seasonal, with nightly rates through May 2025 ranging from $239 for a studio, $287 for a one-bedroom suite, $377 for a two-bedroom suite, and June – October 2025 rates of $148 for a studio, $201 for a one-bedroom suite, and $291 for a two-bedroom suite. Studio and two-bedroom ADA-accessible rooms are also available. Pricing is subject to change, and the rates listed above do not include taxes.

If exploring the beauty of Everglades from the water while enjoying the comforts of home is more your style, you can rent a 42-foot houseboat at Flamingo where you can sleep while docked or on the water exploring the boundaries of Whitewater Bay. These houseboats will fit up to 6 guests, but due to the tight fit, 4 adults maximum are recommended. Through May 2025, the nightly rate for a houseboat - whether staying at the dock or exploring the bay - is $450. During June-October 2025, rates range from $350 - $475 per night, depending upon whether you are staying at the dock or sleeping out on the bay. All rates are exclusive of taxes.

All houseboats also include:

  • Living space
  • Galley with:
    • 3-burner stove
    • gas-electric refrigerator (8.5 cu ft) with a freezer
    • microwave that will work at the dock

    • glasses, dishes, silverware
    • pots/pans
  • The fridge & hot water will automatically switch from shore power (electric) to propane once the boat departs from the dock
  • Houseboats have A/C while at the dock or with the generator
  • 70-gallon water tank
