Pinnacles National Park in California has no lodging within the park, but there are tent cabins located at the Pinnacles Campground (the only campground) on the eastern side of the park.
The nearest communities for hotel/motel-type rooms as well as vacation rentals and B&B lodging are Soledad, King City, and Salinas, California near the park’s western entrance, and Hollister, California near the park’s eastern entrance. Monterey, California is about an hour’s drive from the park’s western entrance and offers a wide choice of lodging.
Open year-round and operated by Pinnacles Recreation Company, Pinnacles Campground offers 10 canvas-sided tent cabins which can sleep up to four people. Some cabins have electricity, while others do not. Cabins range from $129-$149 with an additional charge of $25 for the weekend.
The campground also offers 124 campsites for tents ($43-48/night plus an additional charge of $12 for the weekend), RVs ($62-65/night plus an additional charge of $12 for the weekend), and groups (15 sites for $110-$140/night plus an additional charge of $20 for the weekend). Although not noted on recreation.gov’s website, a Google search indicates there are ADA accessible sites but not how many. You should call recreation.gov at 877-444-6777 to verify. Most (but not all) sites for RVs/vehicle-trailers will fit a maximum length of 45 feet, and one site will fit RVs/trailers up to 50 feet. Tent and RV sites may be reserved up to six months in advance.
Group sites can accommodate up to 20 people per site and may be reserved up to 12 months in advance. Tent and group sites have picnic tables and fire rings. Most RV sites have 120 volt, 30-amp electrical hookups and share community tables and barbecue pits. Drinking water is available in addition to coin-operated showers, a dump station, flush toilets, WiFi, camp store, and a swimming pool that is open seasonally. Pets must be kept on a leash and are permitted on parking lots, paved roads, and in picnic areas.
Reservations are required through recreation.gov for all cabins and campsites. Click on the View Details link for each site to see the vehicle length allowed for that specific site.
Note: There are no connecting roads between the east and west entrances of the park, so the campground is only accessible from the east side.
