While he wants to bolster the ranks of hunters and anglers, the secretary also wants to shrink some national monuments, allow target shooting on as many public lands as possible, and allow hunters to chum for bears with donuts and greasy loaves of bread.

Sharks long have navigated the ocean currents around Cape Cod National Seashore looking for a meal, but one that took a bite the other day got nothing but paddle board, missing the paddler on it but leaving a nice, toothy indentation.

In July and August park rangers are ready to take you for guided canoe and kayak trips, surfcasting lessons, snorkel tours, beach yoga, and salt marsh explorations.
