Broken Pipe Sending Millions Of Gallons Of Sewage Through C&O Canal National Historical Park
A major sewer pipe that travels underneath the Potomac River from Virginia to Maryland has broken, releasing hundreds of millions of gallons of raw sewage into the Chesapeake and Ohio (C&O) Canal National Historical Park in Maryland and the Potomac River. In other words, a massive torrent of sewage has contaminated part of the park and is flowing throughthe nation’s capital.
