National Park Mystery Spot 12: It Desperately Needs More Paint

There's a clue in a hit song by Johnny Horton. Photo by Billy Hathorn via Wikimedia Commons.

To identify this mystery spot you'll need to dig deep for hidden meanings in these clues:

See you.

Being left behind is so unkind.

Not yours, not theirs, and not somebody else's.

A quarrel with a saint shows a lack of restraint.

Bonus clue, no extra charge:

Balladeer Johnny Horton sang about a direction.
Knowing which one it was will help you make this selection.

Be sure to check in with Traveler tomorrow for the answer and an explanation of the clues.

Glacier Bay National park?

Nope, not Glacier Bay National Park.

Kennecott Copper Mine, Wrangell-St. Elias

New Orleans Jazz National Historic Park??

Not New Orleans Jazz National Historic Park.

Wrangell-St. Elias???

Somebody at Indiana University's Eppley Institute has hit the nail on the head. Whoever you are, well done. The mystery spot is Kennecott Mines National Historic Landmark (aka Kennecott Mines or just plain Kennecott), in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park & Preserve. Partial credit to Anon #2, who identified the park, but not the specific site. See tomorrow's Traveler for an explanation of the clues and more information about Kennecott Mines.
