Please Help Us Tell The Next Story

Here at the National Parks Traveler, we’re passionate about news and information that serves the national parks community, from the National Park Service and park friends groups to families and individuals interested in the parks.

We work hard to produce reporting that helps keep you informed on how your National Park System is being managed and how to get the most out of your park visits.

It's extremely varied reporting, because the parks reach into so many corners of America, touching on biology, archaeology, wildlife, paleontology, sociology and, of course, recreation.

Understandably, we’ve reported on how the Trump administration is impacting the parks and the Park Service. But we've also provided you with stories other media overlook, such as this week's story on how Mount Rainier is actually shrinking due to climate change.

We've told you that National Park Service stewardship programs and initiatives aren't reaching all Americans equally, about the ongoing efforts to rebuild portions of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail damaged by Hurricane Helene, and kept you informed on the Dragon Bravo Fire that destroyed the historic Grand Canyon Lodge on the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park.

We've literally posted hundreds of stories this year on the national parks and National Park Service. Now more than ever, we believe that the Traveler's reporting is vital in keeping you informed on the national parks and threats to them. It’s our privilege to do this type of work. But it is only through donations from loyal readers and listeners like you that any of this is possible.

We know we’re only as good as our next story. Will you help us be able to tell it?
