Joshua Tree National Park Reaches 2 Million Visitors

Share

A couple from Inglewood, California, and their friends visiting from Denmark pushed the annual visitation number at Joshua Tree National Park in California past the 2 million mark on Monday. That record number of visitors for the park is up from 1.6 million in 2014.

"We are no longer a fall through spring park," said Superintendent David Smith. "The park is attracting new visitors from around the world and many of them come in the summer, which has traditionally been the slow season for Joshua Tree. That's no longer the case."
