Exploring The Parks: Olympic National Park In Time-Lapse

Alternate Text
An Olympic portrait/Sea Raven Media

Though only about 4 minutes long, this video took Will and Jim Pattiz a month to film. They chose Olympic National Park because of it'™s incredibly rich diversity - glacial mountain peaks, lush rain forests, alpine meadows, high-altitude lakes, wild rivers, wilderness coast, and teeming wildlife were all the excuse they needed.

The brothers plan to create short films for each of the 59 US National Parks to give people a unique viewing experience and encourage them to get out and enjoy the parks. You can learn more about their work at this site. In the meantime, enjoy the video!

Awesomely beautiful.  Especially the dark sky scenes.

Watching the clouds form and disappear over the mountains and ridges provided a great glimpse at things instructors try to tell us in mountain flying safety sessions and in fire behavior schools.

I'll be looking forward to seeing more of their work.
