Glacier National Park officials are urging motorists and hikers to be extra-cautious around bears. Two bear cubs have been killed in park traffic so far this year, and trail users continue to encounter bears in potentially dangerous circumstances.

Now the timing of the gray whale migrations has shifted perceptibly, fewer whales are passing close to shore, and whale watchers will need to be more flexible.
