It's been 30 years since an effort was launched early in the 1990s to return wolves to Yellowstone National Park.
Indeed, it was January 12, 1995 — 30 years ago — on Sunday, when 14 wolves trapped in Canada were brought into Yellowstone to kick off an audacious effort to see healthy wolf packs loping through the park.
How have they done? Have they thrived? What challenges have they encountered, and what have we learned?
To find the answer to some of those questions, our guest will be Eric Clewis, the Northern Rockies senior representative for Defenders of Wildlife. The episode airs at 6 a.m. MT Sunday, 8 a.m. ET, and will be available at all the usual sites for podcasts.
