Glacier National Park

Support the Traveler with a year-end tax-deductible donation so we can continue to bring you stories about places like Glacier National Park every day of the year.

With just a handful of days left in 2022, and in the National Parks Traveler's annual fundraising campaign, we'd like to thank all those who have made donations to support our journalistic coverage from national parks and protected areas.

Your support has led to not only more than 1,000 stories revolving around parks this year, but also 52 weekly podcasts that help broaden the written coverage.

It was a given that the Traveler would cover the catastrophic flooding that hit Yellowstone National Park this year, but we also took you to such overlooked gems as Scotts Bluff National Monument, Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park, Valles Caldera National Preserve, Minidoka National Historic Site and many other units of the National Park System that most media don't cover.

With our fundraising campaign in its closing days, for those who are still considering a donation we'd ask this:

* If you work or support the National Parks Conservation Association, we hope you'll support the Traveler, as we bring much of NPCA's work to light.

* If you support a national park friends group, we hope you'll support the Traveler, for we often cover issues they care deeply about.

* If you care about public lands for your outdoor recreation, we hope you'll support the Traveler so we can continue to keep you informed on how those lands are being managed.

* If you work for the National Park Service, we hope you'll support the Traveler, as we bring attention to the great work you do, sometimes under difficult conditions.

A donation to the Traveler by December 31 will help us claim, and build upon, a $15,000 matching grant.

You, the Traveler's readers and listeners, are our farflung community. Whether you are inspired by our coverage of the National Park System or see great value in having a news organization focused on watching how the parks are managed and supported, we invite you to mark the end of 2022 with a gift to support the Traveler.

The Traveler is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit media organization, and your support goes directly to obtaining the coverage we provide you every day of the year. We appreciate your generosity and are grateful you're part of the Traveler community.
