Ride The Red Rock Coming To Scenic Road In Waterton Lakes National Park

Share

Cyclists will have the Red Rock Parkway in Waterton Lakes National Park to themselves on October 1/Parks Canada

The scenic Red Rock Parkway in Canada’s Waterton Lakes National Park has been closed for construction off and on this year, and cars will have to stay off the road one more day for the benefit of cyclists.

The popular Ride the Red Rock event is back for the sixth time on October 1, with the parkway closed to motor traffic. The ride officially starts at 9 a.m. in the Pass Creek picnic area. The Red Rock Parkway travels nine miles up the Blakiston Valley through rolling grasslands and ends at Red Rock Canyon. It is the best place to experience Waterton's classic prairie meeting mountain landscape.

Helmets are mandatory for anyone under 18, and highly recommended for everyone else.
