One of the most terrifying, and dangerous, day hikes in the National Park System is the route you take to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite National Park. So dangerous is it that some years ago the park implemented a permit system to limit day hikers. Now a study claims that system doesn't make the hike any safer.

Road Repairs Will Block Section Of East Entrance Road To Zion National Park For Three Weeks

It will be somewhat of a challenge to drive into the heart of Zion National Park from the east for most of April as a section of the Zion-Mount Carmel Highway will be closed for three weeks' of repairs beginning April 9.
