A Utah man who went to Zion National Park to hike to the top of Angels Landing died in a fall from the rock outcrop.

The body of Pradeep Beryl Solomon, 35, of Salt Lake city, was found Thursday morning below the popular, but precipitous, hiking trail. The injuries he sustained were "consistent with a high elevation fall, probably from the Angels Landing Trail," park staff reported.

A search for the man began Tuesday afternoon after his roommate reported him missing after Solomon failed to return home. While rangers were able to find his car in the park's visitor center parking area that day, a more methodical search around Angels Landing didn't begin until Thursday morning. His body was found shortly thereafter.
