Werowocomoco rests atop a bluff on a peninsula in the Tidewater region of eastern Virginia, surrounded by marshlands, fields, and forests. It is a lush and verdant place, rich in plant and animal life—but most importantly, rich in Indigenous history and heritage.

In its first prediction for the cherry blossom bloom on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., the National Park Service expects the peak bloom to occur between April 2-5.

If you plan on visiting Big Bend National Park during Spring Break (March – April), you'll need to make camping/lodging reservations outside the park, since all park campgrounds are full. If you are visiting during March, specifically, be aware of road construction delays and closures. And, to protect nesting falcons, some trails are closed to the public February 1 - May 31.

Climbing routes on cliffs used by nesting peregrine falcons in Zion National Park are temporarily closed into the summer due to the falcons' sensitivity to disturbance during the nesting season.
