In a bid to halt an uptick in coronavirus cases the Navajo Nation in Arizona has issued a stay at home order for this weekend, and asked that visitors not travel through the reservation that runs next to the eastern border of Grand Canyon National Park.

Clearing air allowed Kings Canyon National Park to reopen on Wednesday, and nearby Yosemite National Park is scheduled to reopen on Friday.

As efforts to clean up the Chesapeake Bay continue, with the help of the National Park Service, there's also an effort underway to see a Chesapeake Bay National Recreation Area added to the park system.
