The 1st Death Valley Natural History Conference will be held November 15-17, 2013, at the Furnace Creek Visitor Center Auditorium in Death Valley National Park, and officials have issued a call for papers.

The presentation of research and findings within a conference setting provides a valuable means of exchanging information and ideas. The purpose of this conference is to encourage original research within the spectrum of natural sciences and to disseminate this research to a general audience through the conference presentations and publication of the papers within the The 1st Death Valley Natural History Conference Proceedings.

Conference presenters will be selected by committee and preference will be given to research specific to Death Valley National Park and its immediate geographic area. In order to present your work at the conference, an abstract and full paper must be submitted and accepted, and the presenter registration/publication fee of $75 must be paid.

Deadline for full paper submission is October 1, 2013. Additional details for paper and presentation submission to follow upon acceptance of abstract.

Please submit an abstract (500 words or less) of your proposed paper by January 30, 2013. Submissions must be made via electronic attachment. Accepted formats for abstract submission are: Microsoft Word, Rich Text Format, or PDF. Please e-mail your submission to: [email protected]
