Lodging And Camping At Hot Springs National Park

Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas is considered an urban national park. Part of the city of Hot Springs is located within the park, while the rest surrounds the park. As such, there are all sorts of choices for where to lay your head at night, both within and outside the park.

Lodging

Hale Bathhouse before becoming Hotel Hale, Hot Springs National Park / NPS

Visit this national park and you’ll have the opportunity to spend the night in a historic bathhouse now turned into a boutique hotel. Hotel Hale offers nine individual suites—each with a large soaking tub that has hot spring mineral water pumped directly into every room. Prices for 2025 range from $244 - $348 per night (excluding taxes). Amenities include WiFi, a 40-inch television, morning coffee service, and the thermal spring water soaking tub in addition to a shower.

Because of the popularity and limited availability of the hotel’s nine rooms, reservations are only permitted four months ahead of your stay.

Hotel Hale is also home to Eden Restaurant. Reservations are recommended and the restaurant is closed on Wednesdays.

Camping

Camping at Gulpha Gorge, Hot Springs National Park / NPS-Calvin Smith

Each site has full hookups (30/50 amp, sewer, water). Sites are not pull-through. Each campsite has a picnic table, pedestal grill, and water. The cost is $34 per night. Senior/Access passholders receive a 50 percent discount on their campsite.

Other Lodging/Camping Options

If Hotel Hale is booked solid or Gulpha Gorge Campground is full during your visit, the town of Hot Springs offers a range of overnight options including B&Bs, cabins, hotels, resorts, vacation rentals, and other campgrounds.
