An escalation in covid cases in Teton County, Wyoming, has prompted Grand Teton National Park officials to require that face masks be worn inside buildings in the park. Park buildings include, but are not limited to visitor centers, administrative offices, lodges, gift shops, and restaurants in the national park.

With summer crowds starting to descend on Grand Teton National Park, park staff has a list of recommendations if you're planning to visit this year.

Guests at Jackson Lake Lodge in Grand Teton National Park this summer will be front and center as the lodge gets a new roof, restoration of its exterior concrete walls (including restaining of that concrete) to restore the character-defining architecture and design of the National Historic Landmark.

Though Wyoming's Teton Mountain Range looks pretty expansive to the human eye, wildlife must coexist with a nearby ski resort and backcountry travelers, as well as shrinking habitat. At Grand Teton National Park, biologists are working on a plan to better protect the park's native bighorn sheep winter habitat, a plan that could lead to increased winter closures or designated travel routes.
