NPS Releases Environmental Assessment for General Management Plan Amendment/Low Water Plan for Lake Mead National Recreation Area

The National Park Service is seeking public comment on an environmental assessment for a General Management Plan Amendment to address low-water conditions at Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

White Sands National Monument Addresses Infrastructure Needs & Improves Visitor Experience

Effective January 1, 2019, the entrance fees to the park will be $20 per vehicle, $10 per person, and $15 per motorcycle. All of the money received from entrance fees remains with the National Park Service with 80 percent of the revenue staying at White Sands.

Cape Cod National Seashore’s Red Maple Swamp Trail Reopens

The entire Red Maple Swamp Trail in Eastham, Massachusetts, has reopened following a collaborative rehabilitation project between Cape Cod National Seashore and Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore. The trail, which was closed since 2010, is a 1.5-mile-long walking trail connecting the Fort Hill and Hemenway Landing areas.
