Rare Tornado Flattens Hundreds Of Acres Of Trees At Voyageurs National Park

Tornadoes are commonplace in the Midwest, routinely showing up in Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska and eastern Wyoming and Colorado. When one touched down in Voyageurs National Park earlier this month, though, it raised the question of whether a change in extreme weather events is coming to the northern Minnesota park.

Investigation Finds National Park Service Fails To Accurately Track Cell Tower Installations

An investigation into cell tower installations in national parks has found not only that the National Park Service doesn't know how many of the installations exist across the National Park System, but that the agency is either overcharging or undercharging right-of-way and cost recovery fees.
