Acadia National Park's Cadillac Summit Road Closed For Paving

Share

Repaving of the Cadillac Summit Road at Acadia National Park is planned for this week/NPS

The Cadillac Summit Road at Acadia National Park in Maine is scheduled to be closed to the public until Thursday morning for paving.

Weather might affect the timing of the work since paving can be completed only when the air temperature is above 40°F and there is no precipitation. The National Park Service is monitoring the weather to select a time when conditions are best for repaving.

The Park Service also expects single lane closures on other sections of the Park Loop Road throughout the season, so visitors should expect delays and plan their visit accordingly. For up-to-date information about road closures, please check Current Conditions for Acadia National Park.

Vehicle reservations are required for Cadillac Summit Road from May 22 through October 27, 2024. Please visit Cadillac Summit Road Vehicle Reservations at Recreation.gov for more information.
