National Parks Traveler Founder and Editor-in-Chief Kurt Repanshek will be this week's guest on Washington's National Park Fund Virtual Field Trip.

The Traveler is an editorially independent nonprofit media organization that focuses its coverage on national parks and protected areas. The organization's weekly podcasts rank among the top 2 percent of the world’s nearly 2.7 million podcasts, while the flagship website reaches roughly 3 million readers a year.

"This nonprofit media organization is one of our favorite sources for national park news," say the folks at WNPF. "We are excited to get to know Kurt and hear about the great work that they do to support places like Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic National Parks."

How did the Traveler rise in prominence, what issues does it cover, how does it manage its coverage? Those topics and more will be up for discussion when Repanshek sits down with Laurie Ward, WNPF's CEO, on Wednesday at noon Pacific Time.
