
Yellowstone continues to be a strong draw, despite Covid-19/Rebecca Latson file
Covid-19 concerns didn't keep people out of Yellowstone National Park in September, which produced a record 837,499 visitors to the park.
That's an increase of 21 percent from September 2019, and brought Yellowstone's annual visitation to 3,383,872, which is down 11 percent from a year ago.
The park was closed due to health and safety reasons related to COVID-19 beginning March 24. Two Wyoming entrances opened on May 18 and three Montana entrances opened on June 1. All five entrances have been open since June 1.
Year-to-date recreation visits over the last several years (through September):

Visitors: recreate responsibly and reduce the spread of COVID-19. If you are sick, do not visit the park. Self-quarantine to avoid exposing others. Services are limited in the park.
