With the large international visitation that the National Park System receives, it's only natural to wonder how the National Park Service is guarding against visitors who might be infected with Coronavirus.
Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion, and Death Valley are among the park units that attract large numbers of international visitors.
"While there have been no identified cases of Coronavirus in any national park, the NPS Office of Public Health and the U.S. Public Health Service officers assigned to the National Park Service are closely monitoring the situation and keeping staff informed, relying on the most updated data and information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention," Alexandra Picavet, the acting chief spokesperson for the Park Service, said Tuesday.
"Parks are informed to follow CDC guidance regarding preventative actions to help prevent the spread of viruses, particularly during flu and respiratory disease season."

I am supposed to go to Havasu falls April 6-9th will all these closures and country literally shuting down from the rest of the world I wonder if the parks are next. Will we receive an update anytime soon if the parks close so we can cancel travel plans?
Please close the parks don't take the risk please
Same we will be there in 3 weeks.. traveling 2000 miles to see this hole.. hope i didnt waste my money
I really don't hope that we will close "nature" because of that. Events and concerts in closed spaces - I do understand... but some parks have issues being financed as is... the last thig I want for them is to close "nature" for people that are not even in the risk group...
In the event it becomes necessary, whose jurisdiction and responsibility will quarantine and/or isolation of the local population be?
Please keep the parks open, this should be a personal decision to go or not go. People are freaking out too much about this.
Please don't "close nature" on us... I agree with Tom.
Our parks already have a hard time with financing as is... And we are not all in the risk group. If you are or would simply like to be super safe - don 't go...
But don't "close nature" on the rest of us... that's all we have left....
I have a trip planned for late April and I can't wait to go. I am looking forward to being outside and enjoying nature. I will plan on going unless there are other things that prevent me from going (flights get cancelled, I get sick, etc.).
