You now have the option of electric and water hookups at 23 of the campsites at Oregon Inlet Campground in Cape Hatteras National Seashore on North Carolina's Outer Banks. The upgraded amenities are expected to be in high demand, so it is recommended that reservations be made in advance.

During winter 2019, seashore staff plans to complete installation of electricity and water at another 24 sites.

“These amenities help to meet the desires of today’s park visitors and provide a quieter camping experience for RV and tent campers by reducing campground noise that is present when generators are used," said Superintendent David Hallac. "Our staff has made excellent progress on this project.”

The seashore also operates the Cape Point, Frisco, and Ocracoke campgrounds. All campgrounds accommodate tents, trailers, and motorhomes up to 35 feet. Each campground also provides rest rooms, potable water, showers, grills, and picnic tables. Utility connections are currently only available at Oregon Inlet Campground.

Reservations for any of the four campgrounds can be made by calling 1-877-444-6777, or on the Internet at www.recreation.gov, and can be made up to six months in advance.

The 2018 camping season extends to November 26.

where can i find a site map for Oregon Inlet Campground that includes length of RV that will fit

Walter--

Most parks have length limitations on the park website's camping page, but Cape Hattarras does not.  You _should_ be able to see a map of sites with length limitations on individual sites at recreation.gov, but as Kurt & many of us pointed out last week, the new (large government) contractor running that site still hasn't bought or created their own maps, and many users have been unable to log in or use their senior pass numbers to get the discounts.  You may have to call the number above, very likely get told by the contractor that they don't know, and only then call the park's phone number on their website.

You don't pick your site online, you just give the information requested when you make your reservation. number of people, rig size etc...

How can I get a site map of the campground? I think I have tried about everything to no avail!!!
