A 45-year-old Arizona woman has been identified as the victim of a fall from the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park.
Park officials said Jody McDaniel, of Flagstaff, fell from Mather Point shortly after 1 p.m. Monday. Her body was recovered about 400 feet below the rim.
An investigation into the matter was being conducted by the National Park Service and the Coconino (Arizona) County Medical Examiner.
