One sure highlight of any summer visit to Sequoia National Park is the Wolverton BBQ Dinner. Patrons can enjoy all-you-can-eat pork ribs, chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, cool refreshing drinks, and more at the picturesque Wolverton Meadow, as well as interpretive performances by Living History storytellers. The lodge’s Wolverton BBQ Living History Dinner Package includes overnight accommodations and two tickets to the delectable feast. Additional tickets may be purchased upon arrival. This package is available from June 16 to Sept. 2, 2012*. Rates start at $243.
Saddle Up
Sequoia National Park boasts some of the finest horseback riding in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. This year the Wuksachi Lodge introduces its all-new Horseback Package, which includes nightly accommodations, box lunches for two and a one-hour, guided Sequoia horseback riding experience. This package is available now until Oct. 7, 2012*. Rates start at $275.
Look Around
For those who want to see the park’s “greatest hits” but don’t know where to start, the Sequoia Sightseeing Package provides nightly accommodations at the Wuksachi Lodge, plus a half-day guided Sequoia tour that showcases some of the park's most popular attractions including the famed General Sherman tree, Round Meadow and Moro Rock. This package is available year-round*, with rates starting at $318 during the summer.
Trail Blaze
In Sequoia National Park there are more than 800 miles of trails. The Wuksachi Lodge’s Trail Blazer Package includes a night's stay plus a handful of essentials to ensure a fun-filled Sequoia hiking experience: a Sequoia logo backpack, two Sequoia logo water bottles, box lunches for two, trail mix and a local trail map. This package is available now until Nov. 24, 2012*. Rates start at $181.
Time to spare? No summer trip to Sequoia would be complete without taking a tour of Crystal Cave or climbing the nearly 400 stone steps to the top of Moro Rock. For park goers looking to try to their hand at fly fishing, Sierra Fly Fisher offers guided half-day and full-day excursions with all gear provided. Sequoia National Park also runs its widest variety of free ranger-led programs designed to educate and entertain visitors from late June through August.

The Wuksachi is an amazing hotel! My husband and I had the most relaxing time. Also, if you are looking at saving on gas and entry fees to the Park, we took the Sequoia Shuttle from Visalia, CA. This is a great option for travelers visiting the National Park. We had a great time visiting the big trees and we only spent $30 for two of us to get to and from the park.
