Update: My Yahoo! Seems Rewired With the Traveler

Share

The folks at My Yahoo! seem to have fixed the woes with the Traveler's feed!

Here at Traveler HQ we noticed that as of about 1 p.m. MDT the feed on our My Yahoo! page was up-to-date.

Much thanks to the engineers at My Yahoo! who figured out the problem, and thanks to all the Traveler readers who have patiently waited for this solution.

Speaking of feed problems. Something strange has happened in my Google Reader feed with your site. It used to show the first few sentences along with a picture, if there was one. Now it only displays the headline. Any ideas on why this is, or if I can fix it? Thanks! Love your site!

Jonathan,

That might be the result of our attempts to figure out the My Yahoo! woes. We shortened the feed, thinking that the additional sentences were impeding the feed.

Unless it's a big problem, we might want to leave it as is. Let us know.

The feeds yesterday (11/5) came through like old times (yeah!!) but today the updates failed to show up again - just my system, or......?

You're absolutely right, Bill. Apparently yesterday's updates were the result of a "push" of sorts by the techs at Yahoo. Unfortunately, they don't work weekends, so we'll try again Monday.

Glad it is fixed. Always quality information and well written.

Not working again. At 7:30 pm on 11/7, there has not been an update since 11/5, even though several news features have been published. Last post is "Man's Body Found Floating In Colorado River At Grand Canyon National Park".

looks like it is still not working as of 11/9 at 7:30am central time.

After several days of updating properly, today MyYahoo slipped back three weeks to the "Man's Body Found Floating In Colorado River At Grand Canyon National Park" as the last post. It sure would be nice if Yahoo could get this fixed.
