Mark Your Calendars: Holiday Open House At Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site

Interested in ringing in the holidays in a sprawling ranch house, complete with wagon rides out back through a vestige of the Old West? Then mark December 5 down and head to Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site to christen the season.

Sure, it's likely to be cold in Montana then, but that's why there will be a bonfire out behind the ranch house. Inside the Victorian mansion, Gloria Clark will be playing the piano in the formal parlor while visitors will have the chance to tour the highly decorated home of cattle baron Conrad Kohrs. And the Montana A Capella Society will bring their talent and warmth to songs of the season and sleigh bells will ring as draft horses provide wagon rides for the hardy.

Santa, refreshments, crafts and warmth will be found in the dairy barn. With a snowman theme for the event this year, children will have several snowman-related crafts to choose from. Out in the blacksmith shop, sparks will fly as iron candy canes are
forged.

Admission is free for the event, scheduled to run 1 p.m. - 4 p.m., but as is the custom at special ranch events, boxes will be set out to collect non-perishable food for the Deer Lodge Food Pantry. Wild birds will welcome the wealth of pinecone, suet and birdseed feeders visitors can make to take home.

This question is in relation to this historic site. I have the screen saver slide show of the National Parks, and one of the screens shows a (I really don't know what to call it) small rotunda and identifies it being from Grant-Kohr. It looks more like it belongs in Virginia somewhere. Can anyone who might also have the screen saver, identify the site, please? Thanks.
