Voyageurs National Park Turning 40!

Four decades ago, on April 8, 1975, Voyageurs National Park was established as the country's 36th national park. This April, the nation celebrates Voyageurs’ 40th birthday. 2015 also marks the 50th anniversary of Voyageurs’ founding nonprofit partner, Voyageurs National Park Association. Together, the park and its partner will celebrate this anniversary and thank their many visitors, supporters, partners, and volunteers with a full year of special events.

EPA Agrees To Take A Look At Source Of Air Quality Problems At Voyageurs, Isle Royale National Parks

It took six years, and a lawsuit from the National Parks Conservation Association and other environmental organizations, but the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has agreed to look into the source of air quality problems at Voyageurs National Park in Minnesota and at nearby Isle Royale National Park in Michigan.
