Earlier this month Traveler readers compared notes on national park memorabilia collections -- T-shirts, ball caps, hiking medallions, lapel pins and whatnot. Dan Martin had an innovative way to display his collection of hiking medallions -- he buys two from each park and attaches one to his hiking stick and another to a piece of driftwood he found near Yellowstone National Park.
As the accompanying photo shows, Dan's got a pretty good idea. Whether he can fit 392 medallions onto that piece of wood remains to be seen.

Hey, I recognize that tree!! It is sitting in my living room right now. Stands about 5 1/2 feet tall. We plan on going RVing full time when we retire in a few years. The plan is to take our "Earthquake Lake" driftwood with us and fill it up. I think we will have plenty of room and can't wait to see it FULL.
