New Bugs Found in Sequoia, Kings Canyon Caves


    When you think of Sequoia National Park, you usually think of big trees, not caves, and certainly not bugs.
Sekipseudoscorpion    But a team from a Texas company has discovered 27 new species of animals -- bugs, really -- in caves located inside Sequoia and its neighbor, Kings Canyon National Park.
    "We thought we might find a handful of new species. It was amazing to find 27," said Joel Despain, the parks' cave specialist, told the Fresno Bee. .
    Among the new critters are spiders, centipedes and scorpion-like invertebrates.
