New Campground Opens In Cape Breton Highlands
Cape Breton Highland National Park has unveiled its newest visitor offer — Mkwesaqtuk/Cap-Rouge Campground. The $7-million ($5.5-million USD) project, funded through the Federal Infrastructure Investment Program, offers a new coastal camping experience along the world-famous Cabot Trail.

Storm Fallout Closes Section Of Cabot Trail In Nova Scotia
Parks Canada has closed a section of the Cabot Trail on North Mountain in Cape Breton Highlands National Park because of significant washouts and road undercuts from heavy rain and snowmelt.

Cycling Cape Breton Highlands National Park
Cycling west from Cheticamp, the road itself tells me where Nova Scotia’s Route 30 ends and the highway through Cape Breton Highlands National Park begins. Both are part of the Cabot Trail, but crossing the Cheticamp River into the park, the quality of the road surface visibly improves. It widens and the blacktop is newer without the patches, cracks and bumps typical of the provincial section.
