Yellowstone Bison Antagonizer Sentenced To 130 Days Of Jail, Banned From Parks

An Oregon man who brazenly taunted a bison in Yellowstone National Park pleaded guilty to four charges related to his behavior there and in Grand Teton National Park and was ordered to spend 130 days in jail, banned from drinking alcohol or visiting bars, and told to stay out of Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Glacier national parks for five years.

As part of ongoing efforts to monitor the population of grizzly bears and black bears in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, biologists with the National Park Service and Interagency Grizzly Bear Study Team will be conducting scientific grizzly bear and black bear research operations in Yellowstone National Park from August 21 through October 31.
