Yellowstone National Park

Three Days In Death Valley National Park

Death Valley National Park covers much more acreage than just the valley itself. It’s the largest U.S. national park outside of Alaska at 3,422,024 acres. With a park that size, you probably aren’t going to see everything you want in the space of a day or a week, for that matter. But you can still see and do plenty, even if you have no more than three days.

Humans Taking A Toll On Yellowstone Wildlife

Visitors to Yellowstone National Park are taking a toll on the park's wildlife, where in recent days two black bears have been killed by motorists, an elk and a bison were also hit by vehicles, a newborn elk calf was picked up by motorists concerned for its fate, and a bison calf had to be put down after a visitor tried to help it out of the Lamar River so it could catch up with its mother.

Wildfires can sweep across boundaries and into parks. Rivers can flood and wash out trails and roads, as we saw last June at Yellowstone National Park.

Today we’re going to be talking about looming threats to Yellowstone and Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

Greater Yellowstone Coalition Striving To Halt Gold Mine Near Yellowstone

Nearly three decades after it took the involvement of President Clinton to stop a gold mine from being developed on the eastern doorstep of Yellowstone National Park, and five years after the Trump administration withdrew 30,000 acres north of the park from mineral development, a grassroots effort is underway to buy out a fledgling mine project that would be visible from the park and could theoretically send pollution down into the Yellowstone River.
