Applications are open for several board and committee member positions at Shenandoah National Park Trust / NPS file.

Applications are currently open for three board member positions and three to four committee member positions at Shenandoah National Park Trust. The volunteer positions will be part of the Trust’s Board of Trustees and several key committees, including Development, Impact, Events, Finance & Investment, and Governance.

The Shenandoah National Park Trust is the official philanthropic partner of Shenandoah National Park and assists in the conservation of the park, as well as initiatives related to education, accessibility, and innovation. Since 2007, the Trust has invested over $5 million in direct support to the park, funding more than 70 projects that restore trails, support park scientists and rangers, preserve cultural landmarks, build youth employment and conservation programs, and increase inclusion across the park.

The Trust is looking for applicants “who care deeply about public lands and who bring a wide range of perspectives, lived experiences, and skills.” Those with a background in community partnerships, finance, communications, human resources, conservation, outdoor leadership, accessibility, and youth or workforce development are especially encouraged to apply.

Applications are open until February 2nd. Selected applicants will begin their service in July 2026, with onboarding in late spring.
