Groups Urge Fish And Wildlife Service, Agriculture Department To Vaccinate California Condors Against Flu

Nearly 30 organizations have asked the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and U.S. Agriculture Department to vaccinate California condors in the wild to protect them from avian flu, which already has killed at least 21 of the iconic birds.

Grand Teton National Park Extends Bighorn Sheep Wildlife Closures

Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming has extended two existing wildlife closures to protect bighorn sheep because of persistent winter conditions and deep snowpack at high elevations throughout the Teton Range. The existing park closures, near the summits of Static Peak, Mount Hunt and Prospectors Mountain, are extended through May 15. Recreational use in these areas is prohibited during this time.

Cumberland Island National Seashore's feral horses not only are damaging the seashore's environment and two federally protected species but are not being humanely managed by the National Park Service and should be removed from the seashore, according to a lawsuit filed against the federal government.
